I am an Active Duty Soldier in South West Asia.
If I give you my word that I will send you a check for $20.00 will you be able to hold to tickets for me? I just found you site this morning and will send a check the minute you tell me we can do this.

Very Respectfully,
David

Amen to that many times over. May the raffle gods favor you in this!

Jim, I'm awfully sorry, I went to post a reply and somehow edited your post. Blame the people who foolishly vested me with moderator powers! I didn't know the moder-ray-tor gun was loaded, honest!

Ned had an AD! Ned had an AD! Nanny Nanny Boo Boo!

You can easily repay that mistake, Ned, with a courtesy conamyd job and new sights on my Super Soaker 2000. I'd be the only kid on the block with a custom water cannon.

As we all wait for this wonderful way to help young folks and give ourselves and addrenaline rush, let me say thanks for the great words you all have posted for us soldiers. The ones that I serve with are some of the best folks I have ever known. Seeing many of the soldiers that served here helping out in NOLA gave me a deeper sense of pride in what we do. As you know we would not be an Army without the weapons that we have in our arsenal. I can tell you that any enemy will be hunted down and only given quarter if they surrender unconditionally. It did sadden me to see the way the authorities were taking law abiding citizens weapons from them during the forced evacutation. May it not continue, for our great and blessed Constitution states that you all not me and the Army or the police must be strong. We can only come to your aid after much legal rambling. The police as was evident in NOLA are not staffed nor should they be to deal with such a great crisis. This falls squarely on the shoulders of American gun owners. May God bless you all and those in great trials in the South.

The Army Owns the Night
GOD Bless America,
Very Respectfully,
David

David,
Nice words. And Thank You. Hopefully you get back to the states before too long. Hope the site provides you some entertainment while you are in Asia.

I was helping my neighbor do some home projects yesterday and I was using the envelope from my raffle tickets for a notepad. Seeing the Kamp for Kids return address had me explaining Ted Nugent's foundation and also Louder Than Words. He was impressed by the generosity of the foundation, the group of gunsmith's involved and those of us here on the forum.

I relayed the selflessness of Al's donation and the selflessness that it inspired. I told him that it was like the kindness started from a group of men that wanted to give more than what is "expected," hoping to get others involved and that it was working. If we look at what Louder Than Words is doing it is an exponential thing. Just here on the board, look at the donation of time from the pros involved with Louder Than Words and how it has spread to forum members donating parts, etc to projects here. Onwards to the donation of a wonderful custom pistol, spawning the donation of an 870, to the donation of the time to customize it. Negativity is infectious, but we have shown that apositive attitude is infectious too, and it's an infection that we as people need. I would bet that all here are also more giving and caring on a day to day basis.

Congratulations on succeeding at what you started. It is a success now, and I can only imagine how much more it will succeed. Armymetalman, you and our brother's keep your heads down and return safe. Thanks for keeping us safe and we will continue to work on making this a better place for when you are back here with us. You will be in our prayers.
