The buzz around the LTW booth was a bit like an electric current on Friday morning.

.....and here's where I'll tell a funny story......

When Norm drew the name of this years lucky winner, Ted placed the congratulatory call to the phone number listed on the winning ticket, and.......

....got voice mail.

SOooooo, he identified himself, and asked for a callback whenever said lucky winner got the message. After all, you wouldn't want to leave a message of such importance on voice mail, would ya......

A few hours later, Ted and I were in the LTW booth talking with each other (next to the prize package display), when a gent walked up and asked us if we'd held the drawing yet. We confirmed that, yes we had. He asked who had won, and Ted & I looked down at his SHOT Show identification badge....

Then looked at each other....

Then looked again at his badge....

Then we looked the fella square in the eye and said, "You did".

He said, " No, seriously, who won?"

We said, "Look at the winning ticket stub in the display case."

He took a peek and about 1/2 second later there was the sound of his jaw hitting the floor.... He had left his cell phone back in his hotel room and honestly had no idea that he had won this year's package!

Oh, and his name?

From all of us at LTW and NSWF, BIG TIME congratulations, Roy!

Congratulations Roy Nelson from Oregon.

I was sure I won, but I may have been thinking about next year.

I would like to thank everyone involved in the project for such a fine weapon as well as the NSWF for their support of our elite servicemen and their families.

I will post a proper thank you thread after I get the gun, hopefully with some "action" shots of me putting the gun to good use...

Thank you all,

Roy Nelson

Hahahaha! What a great story. Congratulations to Roy.

I have to admit, I was reading this thread to see who won. I mean I was very, very busy on Friday and didn't get a chance to stop back by.

As I was reading the story, I said to myself "Damn. I didn't get a VM message. Wasn't me".

Hahahahaha!

Regards,
Greyson
