Just venturing into the world of custom knives and happen to be very attracted to one of Mr. Holders fixed drop point finger groove hunters. Full tang ATS-34 blade with beautiful maple burl wood handle. Very attractive piece. I guess I am looking for a little feedback on the maker as the quality of his work seems to speak fo itself. Not to mention, all things Arizona seem to turn out pretty darn good around here. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link Clark. Good read. It seems Mr. Holder is a well respected member of the knife making community. Nice to be able to help suporrt the people who help support the trade.

D is a great guy. I have been fortunate enough to be one of his engravers
for the last few months, he does build an outstanding knife. here are a couple I have done for him.

Here is his web site

D has been making knives since the sixties, and is a founding member of the knife makers guild, and a member of the knife makers hall of fame. his knives are very collectible, get them wile you still can.

The knives are beautiful...but I have to comment on your engraving...WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have any more examples done on folders?

WOW Darren. That is beautiful....

and I'm also amazed at all the talent that is in Arizona. It's becoming a regular Mecca for artisans.....

I have several D'Holders and they are all the top of the quality scale, as is Darren's engraving. I have some of that as well.

Darren, if you read this, how about posting your three view picture of the little MOP Kious you did for me a while back I think the guys would like to see that style engraving also.
