I have a Colt M1991 that has a stippling job on the front strap (and MSH). Over the years though, my preference for grip treatment has gone from mild to aggressive, and I now prefer 20 lpi checkering. Is it at all possible to have checkering done over a stipple job?

Thanks in advance!

It really depends on how thick the frontstrap is and how aggressive the stippling.

Hi Don, thanks for the reply. Not sure if a picture helps, but I'll try to take a close up sometime soon and post it up.

The stippling is not what I consider aggressive though. It feels very smooth to me, so I don't think it's deep at all.

You can always call evolution gun works about their checkering insert.
