Ok,
So I'm hoping to get a new RIA XT22 pistol. Provided the rear sight is a "standard" dovetail, what is the lightest weight good rear sight? The factory rear sight kind of sucks, and Willie at Armscor recommended NOT replacing the factory rear sight with an adjustable sight for fear that the extra weight might effect reliability. So, which of the aftermarket rear sights would offer a better sight picture while remaining light weight?

the Harrison Retro rear sight is a great sight with a good sight picture. Should fit up pretty easy too. I'm not too sure about adjustable sight weight affecting reliability, but anyways, I highly recommend the Harrison's sights.

If the difference in weight between a "light" rear sight and a "heavy" rear sight effects reliability, then the pistol will probably not work anyway.

In other words, what he told you was bullshit.
