Hey guys, I have lucked into a commanding officers in 9mm. So it's a officers slide on a full size frame. I was wondering what weight recoil spring the experts suggest to make this pony run?

Depends on the ammo, to a certain extent. If you are going to be feeding it W-W 115 fmj, "big box" store ammo, then you may need to go down to 12 lbs.

If you are feeding it defensive stuff, 125-135 gr at 1200+ fps, then 14.

And it will also depend on how hard your grip is. When i was shooting PPC, I could keep my government-sized .38 Super cycling with 125s at 950 fps and a 14# spring.

I use a 10 lb recoil spring in my 9mm custom 1911 and works great... Ejects fine and no feeding issues... It is a full size 1911 though , not Comander, but 10 lb should work. Just use standard ammo, no + p ... I also found a full lenght guide rod helps too.
