Considering purchasing an 8 round Wolff 1911 mag. Anyone have any experience with these? Thanks.

Aren't these the same mags marketed as Novak's, Ed Brown, etc?

If they are, many of the twenty or so that I've tried, exhibited cracking at the uppermost area of the magazine's spine.

as a side note to this
im pretty sure all of these mentioned mags are the same tube
and they are ACT mags
i really love the function of them
but i have had to warranty 4 of them for lip cracking at under 1000 rnds
oddly i have 2 of them right now same age, both came back as warranty replacements
one has cracked one hasnt same # of rounds same gun

Doesn't sound too promising! Never had a problem with Wilson's...

Would anybody be willing to weigh in on their favorite magazine (or magazine tube with changed out guts - whatever it takes) for 9x23 Win and then also for 9mm? It may be there is no clear winner, but I've heard everything from "just use Tripp CobraMags", to "I use CheckMate bodies with ISMI springs and Metalform followers".

Any thoughts on the most forgiving 9x23 magazine setup for carry purposes in a Colt Combat Commander especially would be appreciated.
