Due to serious hand/wrist injury I cannot hold the grip well on a normal shotgun stock and am looking at pistolgrip stocks.

Does anyone have 1st hand experience with the Knoxx Spec-Ops Recoil Reducing stock?

Do they actually reduce recoil?

Does the recoil absorption slow down followup shot ability?

Any down sides to the stocks?

Only thing I've heard is "cheek pincher". Don't know if they really do or just look like they would.

There is an active topic on 10-8 forums now regarding an AAR for a Rob Haught shotgun class in which the Knoxx stocks were found less desirable than a straight stock.

I had an FN-TPS a few years back and the collapsable M4 stock had 2 big down sides to it for me.

1st the front end of the buttstock would "knock a dent in your face" as the trainers at FN called it (they all preferred standard AR type stocks on them) and for me it would literally wear a hole in my cheek.

2nd and actually most annoying was the M4 type buttstock was a "beard puller"! When you got a cheek weld the joint in the M4 buttstock and tube would allow your beard hairs to slide in and when you fired the gun it would grab them and RIPPPP them out. It would make you cuss like a sailor and cry like a baby all at the same time

I'll check out the 10-8 thread.

Thanks
