OK, I re-barreled a Mauser Mark X to .370 Sako Magnum. (9.3X66 for you metric fanatics)

It is one step (maybe only a half-step) behind a .375 H&H in power, with a 286@2540.

However, my confidence that a .30-06 box would feed properly with the slightly different case seems to be a bit optimistic.

Anyone know a 'smith familiar with the Mauser box dimensioning formulas who can re-build the mag before I get it stocked?

Mark Lammers does tons of Mauser work (and even has his own custom action coming out soon). His site is here, as is his contact information. I know he's pretty busy, but it is definitely worth making a phone call. Tell him "Jeff From Las Vegas said hi", he is a great guy.

Hey Pat, how about Ted Blackburn or Mark Penrod?

I know both have done quite a bit of Mauser work.
