Any of the rifles Ted hand a hand in would be good to go, as mine is. I'd be extremely leery of any of the "after" Y-B products.

I have a 45/70 and a .44 mag both done by YoBo.
I also have a 45/70 takedown for Wild West Alaska.

NOTHING compares to the 45/70 and 44 done by YoBo
I have looked at MANY other Levers as I am a LEVER JUNKIE!

Now I need a 30-30 done to match the others.
I just picked up a pre lock JM Barrel for the build!!!

I did not discover levers until the last few years but now I am hooked. JM stamped 336 .30-30, 2 of those pre safety versions. Then I found a .45-70 and the current unicorn a JM stamped stainless 1894 .357/.38. It was new and unfired, but that didn't last long.

I am building several other projects or I would be on the hunt for .444 or other calibers.

I did sort of tactical up my 1981 336 with a scout rail, some Williams peep and fiber sights and a custom 3 rail forend. ( there is a build article on the Marlin owners page somewhere.)

I truly enjoy shooting those rifles.
