Anyone reading this should be an NRA member. Now is the time, folks. For $35 you will be counted as a supporter of freedom and the Second Amendment. Otherwise, believe me, "they" are counting you as one of "them". Don't let that happen! It's easy:

https://membership.nrahq.org/forms/signup.asp

We don't get political here generally, but right now there are a whole lot of high visibility people aligned against us. That their credibility is nil seems to matter little. Don't let our country be steamrolled by this type.

Ned,
I cannot express my thanks enough for you posting this. As a life member it has always saddened me that with some 80-100 million gun owners in this country there are only 4 million NRA members. That is pitiful! The only real voice we have on a national level and it is virtually shunned by the majority of gun owners who do nothing but complain about what happens to their rights instead of actively participating. A HUGE BUMP!!

Welcome jak, and can you expound on the gift angle? Sounds like a good angle to exploit.

nobody notices a quarter, more or less per day. That's $90 per year. Take that times 80 million shooters,a nd you get 7 billion $. There's only at most 50 antigun senators. They have a 6 year tenure, 1/3rd are up for election every 2 years. So we could bring to bear almost a billion $ per enemy, at each of the elections. Once we have the senate locked up, we can get whatever we want. It won't MATTER who is prez or who controls the House. we could get national CCW, or national Constitutional Carry repeal GCA 69 and NFA34. All in 8 years, at the most and the Politician's MEMORY of what we did would last for 40 years (at least). :-)

Old thread but the message and the need are as current as today's headlines about the few, the powerful, the rich and supposedly influential, that want to take it all away from us. We won't let that happen and NRA is our big flashing neon sign: HANDS OFF.

I got my life membership a short time ago. Each year I give two gift memberships to family and friends, I also have one who opted to go for life member on the monthly payment plan. Lots of options out there.

Atta boy!

It's uphill all the way when you're up against dishonest leaders and bling followers.
