It is posted on the 1911 forum that Walter Birdsong passed away. He was a very nice man, very sad.

I just saw this. We've really been losing a lot of irreplaceable folks lately from our ranks. Mr. Birdsong was definitely one of the good guys. I really enjoyed our phone conversations and his work.
