My name is Chris Cornish. I joined this site in December of 2007. Feb. 3rd 2008 I was backed over by a tractor trailer at work. I am still undergoing surgeries and therapies to this day. I do not know when it will br finished. 3 things kept me in good spirits. My family, my music and my love for the 1911. I began shooting Sigs and Glocks at first, but the moment I held a 1911, it was love. This website gave me a lot to look at and read in the hospital, and at home. I am finally able to play the drums again, and I am able to stand well enough to shoot again. Thank every one of you smiths and fellow members for sharing what you know, do and make. I am forever appreciative and in your debt. Humbly. Chris.

P.S. One of these days one of your guns is gonna be headin' east, and I am gonna wring it out but good  .

Hello Chris. Walt Campbell, nice to meet you. I'm thinking anyone who can come back from what you have been through will
surely have a custom 1911 from one of these great smiths one day.

Pray that your recovery will continue and you will be able to play those drum solos and poke holes in lots of targets again soon.

Here is a post of what I have been blessed to have. Enjoy.. http://www.louderthanwords.us/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7086

God Bless to you and your family...

Walt...

Thank you Walt. I have already been to the range, and I have contributed to the loss of trees thru paper hole punching. You should be mighty proud of that piece of Yost iron. It is beautiful. Thanks for your well wishes. Chris.

Chris, we're glad to have you here. Keep pluggin' along - it sounds as if your priorities are in order, and that's half the battle.

All the best to you from the LTW family.
