Having had this treatment for the grip drawn up since 2012 it has taken this long to find a customer wanting something like it. Win for both parties. Why stop there. Many hours of phone conversations and sending drawings for approval, we finally got the top treatment nailed down, the index points, slide stop treatment, fixing the largely oversized EGW trigger and tying it all together. We also went with a PVD coating on this one.

Enough jabber, on with the pictures.

Thank you. Was starting to wonder if anyone was coming to this forum anymore. With all the talent that post here I would hate to see it go to waste with no visitors.

Traffic is down, that's true. It will vary depending on the season, but for certain many of the LTW smiths have not been posting as much as before. For myself the way I work it is often nothing to report and then three guns are done. I don't do them in batches at all but I will generally have more than one going. Plus in the summer I'm doing classes so much it's hard to get a whole lot of progress in the shop. Plus much of my recent shop time has been spent on R&D, the results of which I think will be of interest to 1911 fans..... coming soon....

So-- I'm glad to have guys like Chris and Greg and other smiths posting here-- keep it up guys.

Chris, Just a side note on traffic. My wife and I retail and summers are slow, for some reason, this summer is much slower. We are getting plenty production gun inventory from small stores that gave up also. The market is also very saturated so just keep in mind, that firearms which includes the higher end have an ebb and flow so to speak over a multi year time frame if that makes sense.

I was referring to forum more than anything. Seems that a lot less people are posting here anymore. This has always been one of my favorite ones. Such great talent here I am surprised that more members don't reply or post more regardless of the time of year.

I appreciate the time everyone takes in viewing my post.

I'm still waiting for the next big Ned thing.... I'm sure he has something unique up his sleeve.
