This has been the year of the two-tone gun for me... I think I have built more this year than any previous year. Traditionally configured two-tone guns continue to be a classic favorite of mine and I thoroughly enjoy building every one of them.

Image

This gun actually started life as a stainless steel Government Model with the two-tone look being achieved by finishing the slide in DLC. As with every gun I build, the gun is a full-house effort starting with a welded frame and slide fit. From there a stainless steel Wilson Combat barrel, EGW bushing, and EGW slide stop were fit and the slide top was flattened and serrated with a Bo-Mar style adjustable rear sight out back matted up to my custom .110” wide gold line front sight. The slide is also ball-cut at the front and serrated on the rear at 50lpi.

On the frame all lines were straightened and trued and the front strap was hand-checkered at 25lpi. A Wilson Combat Bulletproof mag-well was fit and blended as well as being hand-checkered at 25lpi to match the front strap. The grip safety is an S&A part swinging on a Wilson Combat extended thumb safety. The matte finished frame is topped off with a set of VZ double diamond G10 stocks that I inlayed the Colt medallions into.

Of course there are lots more details that went into the gun but I’ll let the photos do the talking. Enjoy the pics!

Totally so fan-dam-tastic in every aspect.
Makes my heart throb.

I echo Chuck's sentiment. That is gorgeous. So much to like, as usual sir. Just phenomenally refined work!

Deee-lish!

I'm glad one pic showed the pen "deployed", I was trying to figure out of it was a flare gun, dog whistle, or what!
