Hello,

This is my first post, be easy on me. :D Just wondering who's who in gunsmithing on the S&W J frame? What would be some recommended mods for one also (besides trigger jobs)?

Welcome, cathellsk.

Anybody who does S&W revolver work will be able to do your J.

John Harrison (south of you) comes to mind.

Other than an action job, the elimination of sharp edges and hammer bobbing should make for a good pocket rocket. No need to have a cocker on a piece that doesn't need cocked.

I am very pleased with a m37 that Don Williams worked over for me.

I was curius as to how much it might cost to have a night sight added to the front of my J frame 442.

Hi Pat. If your 442 has a pinned front sight, then you can probably buy a front sight from Trijicon and have it installed by a local 'smith. If your's is part of the barrel however, I'd recommend calling Tooltech Gunsight,. They are the folks who do custom installations for Trijicon and some others. They're capable of doing any machining to your sight and installing the tritium insert. You can reach then at (248) 628-1811.

As you can see, Don is most helpful. His work is outstanding also. (Hint.)
