Which speedloaders are the best for combat/self defense (not competition)???

The rumours I've heard:

From what I understand the Safariland loaders are only good for competition?

Maxfire are suppose to be good, but warp or break eventually and are not rugged and reliable enough to trust your life too?

HKS are the standard, but rattle and can be awkward.

Moonclips??? Pros and Cons?? I'm very interested in the possibility of using Moonclips?

Others?

I shoot a 629 Mountain Gun in 44 mag. which I carry in the backcountry in either a pistol concealment pack or a Milt Sparks holster for deterring bear, etc.

Any help and experience would be greatly appreciated!!

I use Safariland Comp 1 loaders. All it takes is a simple downward push and the rounds fall into the cylinder. No knobs to turn. No fine motor skills to lose in the adrenaline dump seconds of combat.

I tend to use speedstrips from bianchi for my .38s just because they don't rattle and they are easy to carry / conceal.

I like the speedstrips, too. But I'm not sure why they use 'speed' in the name...

I've just decided to use the fasted reload, "A 2nd Gun", so I'm gonna start carrying a 2nd N-frame as a backup instead of speedloaders.
