Several years ago, I purchased a Ruger SP101. Not quite sure why, as I needed another small .357 like the pope needs a loose girlfriend.

My particular gun was what I would call unrefined. Sharp edges everywhere (really nasty ones), a lousy trigger pull, etc.

Well,g a couple of months ago, I decided to send it off to Marc Marganti of Gemini Customs. He really does nice work with these little beasts! No more sharp edges, and the trigger pull is a smooth 10 pounds. The trigger on one of these will never be as good as a finely tuned S&W, but it's pretty damn good.

I set out to take these pictures yesterday, but for whatever reason, my heart just wasn't in it. The unfortunate results are that these are definately not my best work.

A nicely done crown and Matt Del Fatti's logo on the back of the leather...

How about the polish on the back of the now bobbed hammer!

I'm absolutely hooked on Ted's gold line front sight. That not being an option, I went with the next best thing.

I've carried it a few times already, and the Del Fatti rig helps it just disappear under a t-shirt.

If you guys don't quite posting pictures of Marc's Ruger work I am liable to end up with one, and that wouldn't be good on the home front. Nice looking gun.

That is an awesome SP101 !!! I live within miles of Magnaport International and have been thinking of dropping my SP101 off for an action job and bead blast. It would be nice to save the shipping charges but the more I see of Marc's work the more I'm heavily leaning towards sending it off to him.

I'd love to see more pics of your SP101 and some shots of your Del Fatti leather.

mark, don't be too hard on yourself, even Ichiro Nagata has an off day  beautiful photographs by the way.

one of these days i will buy a decent camera and take some photographs of my modest collection of custom guns. I can only hope they will turn out one tenth as good as yours :!:

Thanks for the kind words guys.

fz4vgq, Unfortunately, those are the only pictures that came out good enough to share, and I had rotten lighting at that. Next time I set up to shoot (pictures) a new gun, I'll take some more of the SP and leather. I'll make sure to do it when I'm really in the mood. Crap, I sound like my wife...

Something from the S&W side of the house that Marc built.
