Before Ruger made the decision to finally come out with a 4" Redhawk, I took my 5.5" in .41magnum and shortened and recrowned the barrel myself. The new front sight is a Weigand Combat model with interchangable blades. I polished all the trigger group parts for a super smooth DA pull and dehorned the whole gun, especially concentrating on the "cut you bad" hammer spur. I also chamfered the front of the cylinder a little more than stock for better holstering. I rounded the bottom corners of the grip frame and worked the original wood grips to match. I removed the billboard from the left side of the barrel and used a Scotchguard pad to give it a brushed finish. There is a lot of handwork in this project. This gun is incredibly accurate, especially with the heavier bullet weights. It will be my field/hunting carry weapon. Hope you like my work.

adh,

Thanks...I am really proud of how it turned out.

Gunner....that Nimrod is a great looking gun. I would love to shoot a SA that has been modified by Mr. Bowen.

cardboardkiller,
That is some fine work on that gun done by Gemini Customs, it really dresses up that Smith. I have a 3" GP-100 at Marc's shop as we speak. I am really looking forard to its return.

I have several Bowen customized pistols and they are superior. Hamilton is quite a charactor but to consumate gunsmith for revolvers. Read his book, it is well worth the money. I am having to sell a couple of his pistols as well as one by Morrison and Clements. It tears my heart to sell any of these. Look at Linebaugh's site and his son's Dustin, they both do excellent work. Gary...

2 special edition Dan Wesson builds using Smith and Wesson frames and DW barrels, obviously built before the CZ takeover. These were Jim Cirillo's original idea, and as such bear his initials in the serial number.

My newest custom is a Ruger GP-100 DAO that came from a canadian police force. Century Arms International reimports these back into the US and they are usually sold at some gun auction. I purchased this one from a friend that runs a pawn shop gunshop. I shot about 500 rounds and liked it so well I decided to send it off to Marc Morganti at Gemini Customs and all I can say is WOW I really am impressed with the result.

my first revolver - an '85 Colt Agent that was cleaned up by Dave Sams :D

DAO conversion
bob hammer
action job - the trigger is a-m-a-z-i-n-g
inspect timing/endshake/cylinder gap and correct as needed
refinish (parkerized & annodized)

I need to massage the Badger walnut grips a bit for a better fit, I'll work on that later tonight...

It was a treat to drive down to Dave's shop today to pick her up; what a great place to visit, I could've stayed and talked to him all day! I ended up leaving my 9mm commander to have a new barrel put in, can't wait to pay another visit

Tom....that Agent is simply INCREDIBLE!!! That is almost the exact thing I have been wanting to do for quite some time. I know Dave's work very well, what kind of turnaround time was on this beauty? I may have to PM you to check on price if you don't mind....now I'm off to scour the net for a good used Agent or Cobra for myself (and to clean up my ol' S&W 442 to get ready to trade or sell!). :P
