Okay guys. Here is another one. Forgive the poor pics. I ran out to the shop and took them in a hurry. Also, I know the stocks are crap and the fit is really bad. Better ones are on the way.
Now to the story. This was my 640 that I carried everyday for about seen years. It looked like it had been drug down a gravel road behind a pickup truck. Those of you who have carried a stainless j for a long time know what I'm talking about. So, I sent it to Uncle Bill at C&S and told him to make is purdy for an article.
Bill performed his magic by:
polishing the trigger and doing an action job
recutting the cylinder release to avoid the j-frame thumb - you know what I'm talking about!
did a complete carry bevel
polished all the screws and pins
polished the cylinder flutes and rear of the cylinder
opened up the rear sight
installed a dovetailed front sight with a gold bead.
The photos don't do it justice but trust me, it a cool little carry piece that gets attention.
Enjoy,
Rob
