Since this gun is a J Frame, will other barrels fit it?
That is, are the barrels for J Frames all threaded the same?

Richard, All the 'J' frames used to be threaded the same, but I don't know anymore. With the advent of the S&W Scandium guns, many of which have a sleeved barrel, some of that may have changed. I think you'll have to ask someone at the factory to be sure.
