Hi
I recently swapped for this S&W Pre-War Victory model. It appears it has not been fired since it was engraved. The bore and cylinder Look New just Like the Internals. Regards, Kurt Vogler

Wow. That's interesting.
What's the story on the figures on the grips? Who is the head? Is the circle an emblem of some sort or just a pattern (I can't quite make out if it has lettering on it or not)?

Hello
Here is what I was told about the symbols on the grips. The guadmex is probably Guadalajara, Mexico. The "Hern" is probably a contraction of Hernandez; most likely the maker. The eagle mask and the wheel are Aztec and Mayan. I think the wheel is a representation of the
calendar used by them. Regards, Kurt.
