Well ive recently been bitten by the single action bug...bad.
Been scouting the local shops for nice Ruger single actions without much luck until today. Found this NIB Ruger Vaquero Bisley .44 magnum, 4-5/8". Wasnt really looking for a Vaquero style pistol but the Bisley frame pushed me over the edge (along with the price being reasonable and theThad Rybka cross draw holster, it didnt take much thought).
Will probably be taking this to John Gallagher for some mild tuning/tweaking here and there. Also trying to figure out what is the best load to regulate the front sight for, im not a reloader so factory loads are a must (thinking the Federal Premium 300 gr flat nose).
Any how, here are some pics, if any one else has one or knows much about them feel free to chime in, ive not seen any other .44 Bisley Vaqueros since ive been looking for single actions.
Well got the pistol back, here are a few pics, very pleased. Work performed- Action job, Oversize base pin, Free spin pawl, flatten/serrate front sight face, Black Powder chamfer cylinder, remove billboard on barrel & recrown, fit grips, Matte Blue...
