Okay guys, since you seemed to enjoy the Hamilton Bowen LW, I thought I would post this USAF SAA that I wrote up for Harris Pubs with the Bowen pistol.

This pistol was received in the white by Cylinder & Slide. Bill did his magic and then sent it to Brian Powley for engraving. Nutmeg one piece ivory stocks finished off the project.

For those who can't live without this, check Bill's web site.

Enjoy,

Rob

That's pretty sweet, Rob. Love the engraving - very distinctive.

Brian seems to have captured the style that is perfect for a SAA. He has also done several guns for the Pistolsmith Guild, one of which was in American Handgunner several months ago.

It was tough to send back but since Bill was sitting on my credit card number I could not hold it hostage!!!

I could learn to like single actions if they all looked like that

Hey Rob:
Nice photos of a beautiful handgun. Brian is an incredible aritst and he and his wife are some of the nicest folks you're likely to meet.

For the article, I contacted John Bianchi and he loaned me his premium rig with hand stamping and sterling silver buckle and conchos. It was the perfect rig for this hog leg.

I posted this under the Custom Holsters a few weeks ago but thought members would like to see it in context with the pistol.

I go on little vacation, and miss some neat stuff.
Very nice. I don't think I have seen a C&S SAA before.

Barry,

This gun was featured in a photo spread in American Handgunner a couple issues ago. Ichiro did some really great photos for the article.

Robert.... I'm no Ichiro and never will be. However, even a blind hog fines an acorn. For every 25 or 30 shots, I luck out and get one or two worth posting or publishing. Thanks for the complement.

Here is one or two more for your viewing enjoyement.

These are two closeups of John's rig. I can't describe what a work of art this is. Photos don't do it justice.

The article on this one and the Bowen LW SAA is out on the news stand in the Fall 07 issue of Guns of the Old West.

Enjoy.
