Picked up this one as a project gun about a year ago. Was an original finish 1917 that showed some age and had some markings missing, but was exceptional mechanically. Since the collector value was gone and I acquired it for same, the barrel is now 3.5" and is smooth and tight. Makes a nice "retro" backpacker, mountain gun or bedside security. Grips are elk stag, the re-finish is just a standard re-blue and the front sight is fixed / one piece and soldered on. An economy job really, but mechanicals and function are perfect. I have the original wood grips too, which are about 85% and just need some cleaning / degreasing. I think this one's ready for another 100 years of service.
Kind regards - TW
