LTW Guns latest project package (#12) is up and ready!

This package is to benefit Hunting With Heroes Wyoming. Tickets are available for purchase at:

https://huntingwithheroes.org/raffles/

Hunting with Heroes takes disabled veterans hunting in Wyoming.

Hunting with Heroes is a non-profit and charitable organization founded by veterans to give back to disabled veterans. Working with Wyoming state agencies, landowners and volunteers, Hunting with Heroes Wyoming offers big game hunts and fishing outings designed to fit the special needs of each disabled veteran.

HwH WY was founded in 2013 by two US Army veterans and Wyoming natives, Dan Currah, a Vietnam veteran, and Colton Sasser, an Afghanistan veteran. Dan was keenly aware of how Vietnam veterans have struggled throughout the years, and Colton was deep in his healing journey after he sustained life threatening injuries in Afghanistan. Both knew hunting in Wyoming could be an intensive healing experience. Since 2013 they have helped veterans fill nearly 2000 tags in Wyoming. They have hosted veterans from all 50 states, ages ranging from 21- to 93-years old, and veterans who have served the United States of America in conflicts from WWII to Afghanistan and everything in between.

Hunting with Heroes Wyoming is about honor, healing, restoring hope, and saving lives.

Here is a brief description of this package and it's contributors, including the build sheet:

• We started with a base 1911 stainless handgun that was generously donated to us by Dan Wesson firearms.

• John Harrison of Harrison Design, donated all of the parts used by the smith’s for this build.

• Don Williams of The Action Works, fitted the grip safety, thumb safety, trigger, and did a complete trigger job.

• Ned Christiansen of Michiguns, Ltd., fit a new mainspring housing then did his FRAG treatment to the frontstrap and mainspring housing, then beveled the magazine well.

• Mark Graff of Graff Custom Gun Works, fitted an oversize ejector, blended the back of the slide, fit a match barrel bushing to a match barrel, crowned the barrel, and serrated and blended the slide stop.

• Tim Brian from CT Brian Custom, made high power cuts on the slide, flattened and serrated the top of the slide, lowered and flaired the ejection port, throated the barrel and polished the feed ramp, made custom grips from exhibition grade French walnut, and polished and bead blasted the entire gun and small parts.

• Doug Mosier of Glenrock Blue, Cerakoated the slide and small parts to give this a two-tone finish.

• Greg Graff of Graff Custom Knives, handcrafted a beautiful hunting/utility knife using 1084 steel for the blade and shaft and topped it off with grips made from the same piece of exhibition grade French walnut that the grips for the pistol were made from and brass pins.

• Finally, to complete this package, Rob Hipp (robhipp45@gmail.com), handcrafted a complete set of custom leather (gun holster, knife sheath, and spare magazine pouch).

An amazing package created by some amazing artist to benefit a great organization. I will purchase some tickets as I have for all the LTW fundraisers, this might be the time I win.

Just wanted to remind everyone to get your raffle tickets bought if you want a chance at this package, as the drawing date is December 1st. This could be an awesome early Christmas present for one lucky person.

Don't miss this chance to help our veterans after all they have done for us.
