Well......we stood in front of a vocal blast furnace yesterday when the absolute perfect politically incorrect wordsmith, rock hero, and philanthropist Ted Nugent left a gaping wound at the YoBo shop.
The relationship between LouderThanWords and Ted Nugent and his Kamp for Kids has flourished beyond our expectations. The first raffle was a huge success. When determining a second raffle and charity through a series of strange circumstances we have found ourselves back at TNKFK. LTW #2 is going to be raffled along with a custom rifle built by Tim Cronin at YoBo.
The Nuge spec'd the rifle the way he wanted...so we built two. One for TN and one identical rifle to be raffled. This whole endeavor has been a great experience with people like Mark Downing, Chuck Buzzy, Al Shear, Jim Keeney, Roy Huntington and of course all of the smiths that have contributed.
TNKFK is making huge strides in building a 12 million dollar Kamp for Kids. The way TN described it yesterday "we need to invest in our kids so they will carry on our constitutional second amendment heritage" TN spoke of doing the right thing, treating each other with respect, and had some colorful words regarding Rosie O'Donnell. We laughed our asses off. Not often you pick up a guitar slinging activist who was dressed in full camo, a camo cowboy hat, and slammin' a Starbucks hot mocha latte in 110 degree weather.
Upon seeing his rifle he said "you guys are builders of the finest instruments designed to kill" TN redifines politically incorrect which maybe should more accurately described as politically honest. Here are some pics of Ted's visit. The first is of Tim Cronin and TN with the rifles.
Roy Huntington is going to cover LTW #2 and the Nugent rifles in an upcoming American Handgunner. Roy has been a huge catalyst in our success so far.
Spending a few hours with Ted Nugent is having a percussion grenade go off next to you. Thanks to everyone here at LTW this has been a very wild ride.

In 'Custom Rifles' you can see the spec sheet that Lew Bonitz and Ted Nugent designed for this rifle.
