Gentlemen-

I have a holster that became soaked awhile back and now it is beset with ongoing mildew. I allowed it to thoroughly air dry and it retained all of it's hand boning, but the mildew WON"T LEAVE!

Help!!

(and if you know of a cure for toenail fungus, please throw that in as well :D :D )

Thanks-

Chip

DO Not use on holster.... 10 % formaldahyde applied spairingly to the toe nails preferably with a toothpic. A Q-tip may carry too much and would not be good for healthy tissue. I used that with some salascitic acid to get rid of warts also. worked great. My friend John in the pharmacy kept some bottled to pass out to friends. You may want to ask your pharmacist if he knows of any reason not to apply it to toe nails. Worked for me.

Not a prescription, something I dreamed up in the service as a medic.

Have you asked it nicely or just used harsh language! :?
Try stroking it gently a few times and see what happens, preferrably when the wifes out of the house.

Hmmmmmm, she's a lot more persuavive than I am, maybe I could just ask her.

BTW she asked if you had a good time in Vegas. I told her that had not received a full report on your "sufferin'" as yet. :D

I can tell you that Al suffered deeply in Vegas last weekend. It was a brutal experience for him. He may not even recover from it. If you want, Al, you can send me your 9mm until you recover. I'm always here for you.

Witherspoon, You might try a mild solution of warm water and bleach.
I would say a one to six ratio. One cup of bleach to six cups of water.
It might lighten the dye, but the holster can be refinished afterwards.
Let me know if you need help..
Sometimes laquer thinner, or acetone will work also, but it depends on what kind of finish is on the holster.

Uncle Lou-

Thank you very much. I will try the bleach solution first. The mildew keeps coming back on the backside of the holster, so a litttle finish degradation won't be a problem.

Tonyt-

I'll try to get my hands on your recipe.

Banker-

Thanks for looking out for my buddy.

Al-

Well, ......, uh, well, uh, ......never mind. :D
