Not really. I had to buy like 6 hides to complete a customers order, so I just bought a band splitter. I needed one anyway. Then I had one of the grunts sand the rest off. It ended up being about 1 1/2 to 2oz. thick. I should have saved the scraps and made watch bands. :P
