I was fortunate to pick up these two rigs that represent some of Gordon's work. He was a master in his day!

Nice find Mr. Garrett. I've got a duty rig and pouch for a 1911 that he made. If you ever don't want your Gov't rig, let me know........... :D

pezzulli,

Thanks for the post. The 1145 was a real classic. Milt, Gordon, and Bruce were all gentleman of the highest order. Bruce left us far too soon.

Here are some quick shots of Gordon's catalog that I had filed away many years ago.

Rob... I’m not sure it's fair that you've got all this cool stuff... but it is certainly nice of you to tease us with it. :P

I'm lovin' the pictures my friend! 8)

Thanks for the pics, Rob. I was a constant customer of Gordon's in the 80 and still have a bunch of his leather. Here is my favorite rig:

The pants belt in the second picture is a Davis I bought in 1982 and have worn fairly consistantly for the last 25 years.

I think I have that catalog too, along with one from Bruce Nelson in my files.

talk about built like a tank... very nice stuff indeed, especially like the Hi Power holster, you need to send that to Alabama until my Rhodesian gets delivered

Wow, those pics bring back memories. Gordon made all my dads holsters and mag pouches. I still have all of them.

I remember being a kid, my dad and I would drive out to Gordon's shop to hang out and pick up new stuff.

Nice pics, thanks for sharing them

Ill have to dig them out of his safe, ill post pics when I can. I have needed to get in there anyway to get my very first Series 70 and his old S70. I love all mine like they were my children, but there is something about his that is very special. Maybe its the worn bluing, or just knowing that it is his. Anytime I smell Hoppe's #9, it brings me back to when I was 4 waking up to that smell and listening to a 1911 being worked on

Been trying to find other Davis items, so when I saw those on ebay, I just about dropped my teeth.

I have a bunch of Bruce nelson stuff too.

Sadly, an end of a great era..........

It's great to see so many that appreciate classic leather.

Who would have thunk that we would keep old leather holsters in a safe!

Thanks for keeping the memories alive.

Rob
