Well done! Wouldn't have figured it for a first effort, nice stitching, decent boning and attention to detail! Way to go. Whats it for a commander?

Thanks for the kind words. This is just my first pancake. I've made some IWBs before. I made this one for my DW CBOB.

It's a lot of fun and pretty relaxing.

Heheh...molds are for the pros. Mine are for personal use.

I like that a lot.....I've been coming back into this forum to take a look at this holster over and over. It's a very professional job considering you'd be considered to be on an amature level. This with a matched double mag pouch would be slicker than greased owl sh*# IMO.

good work

That is a nice holster for a first pancake effort. About the only thing I would recommend is a stitch line along the contour of the trigger side of the pistol. The rattle snake is a nice personal touch...

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I'm definitely an amateur with this stuff, adh, but I've always loved pretty leather.

Loco, I agree, I should have put a few stitches in that direction and maybe tried to loop back.

I had to add the snakeskin. He didn't need it anymore:

That's one dead rattler!

I killed one last weekend when I went to the Chihuahua mountains on my preseason scouting trip. Too bad I don't have any leather crafting skills.....

Yeah I have, adh...though I'm still trying to get better. Here are some of my attempts and my first post at LTR:

Ronnie,

Love it! I would like to try my hand as well. Where do you get the leather and how much and what weight to you order?
Also what do you use to sew?

Thanks everybody.

rccolt45, I just buy whatever skirt leather they have at my local Tandy, but you can buy from them online, also. Some of the more talented folks here could tell you exactly what weight to buy.

Here's an IWB I made Wednesday for my TRS:

And now for something completely different:

Now that's interesting!

And the idea of carrying your spare mag with a gun around it-- not all bad either! 8)

Now THAT will pull down your pants (at least on me). If I was built like that, probably wouldn't have to worry about it! That's a better looking rig than Galco's (ugh) famous Face Off rig.

Pretty funny, Ned. Your comment got a laugh from the rogue's gallery around my office. That holster was kind of a throw together job, but it's fun.

AZ, my ladyfriend wants to choke you for inflating my already ridiculous ego.

Thanks for the comments, guys.
