Last year I got my first Custom Pistol from Jason and Ted. Along with it I also got a beautiful IWB rig from Alex Nosser.

Well around the same time I was talking to Jason, I thought about the final product and as much as I intended to carry it concealed, the more I thought about it the more I thought it would be ashame to always have it hidden. So I started to consider what would be a proper way to carry something that I hoped, and wasnt disappointed, would be a piece of art coming out of Mr yost and friends shop.

As we all know, the 1911 has had a long military history, but also it served proudly with the Texas Rangers. Most Rangers had a special side arm that they called their BBQ Pistol. Well, I thought that this pistol was going to be both a working pistol as well as a show piece. So I got in touch with Mr. Chuck Burrows to see if he was interested in making me something that would properly display the pistol.

Well today I heard from Chuck along with an email packing a supprise. It was a long wait but judge for yourself. Hopefully Jason you will approve of displaying the pistol on the Range in this rig.

Bear with me, this is the first time I have ever tried to post pictures.

My first trip I carried my first custom made knife made by Mr Gib Guinard. Well prior to me getting home from my first trip overseas he unfortunately he passed away. Chuck pointed out that he had one of his knives that they had collaborated on...so I thought it fitting to complete the rig with what is very close to my combat knife, with a more appropriate theme.

Now for the rest of the rig.
(the pistol here is the maker's not the one Jason built for me)

Finally I thought I should include a photo of the pistol.

Now I hope when I get this rig I am going to sit down with my wife's camera and see if I can get photos of both sets of leather with the actual pistol in it.

Thanks for looking.

BTW know of any BBQs ?

Jim

I really like that rig! The leather is VERY nice. It's a beautiful piece of workmanship. The knife is gorgeous and really fits in with the look of the rig too. The combination of the gun, knife and leather is gonna be too beautiful to wear for anything serious. You should probably just put it on, walk outside and stand still. Then everybody can walk in circles around you to take in all the uh, gorgeousity?? Yeah, gorgeousity.......it took a new word to describe it all. :D

I love that leather work, it all goes together so well. What type of steal was used on that knife?
