Here is a set I made for an LEO in the great state of Texas. He supplied the Silver Buckle and Belt Hardware.

Shown is my SAP, SSP Mag Pouch and a Cuff Case, along with a Stitched Gun Belt, tapered from 1-1/2" down to 1-1/4".

Where was all this cool gear when I was a cop ?

I confess - I knew Lou way back then, and had some of his leather even then. 8)

John everything arrived today and it was like Christmas. Even though work has been busy as hell the last couple of months, the last 2 weeks have been great. Ten days ago a pistol that has been in the works for quite some time was finished and then today what started as a belt order came via the USPS. Thanks John for answering all my questions and bearing with me through these past couple of months. Oh and the leather goods are great...

Absolutely beautiful John! That color is very rich and deep, what do you call it?

Right now I call it "Impossible to Reproduce"....

That was one of Lou's signature colors, and it requires dying the piece multiple times. I have not had good luck in getting the color to be uniform. I was amazed that I got all these pieces to match.

I am not sure how Lou did it - I usually end up with a mess. Dark spots here and there, etc.

John, if I recall correctly Lou just referred to this shade as "Cordovan" and was really the only color he offered besides black and of course exotics. It's definitely a very rich brown color that has to be seen in person to really appreciate but it looks to me like you hit the nail right on the head! Beautiful work!!

The color is very close to Lous "brown". While I hate brown holsters and everything, I needed one for those occasions that brown is the color choice. I already had a brown holster, cuff case and mag case from Lou for my Commander just needed something for my 5" 1911.
