I waited about 8 weeks for this beauty from Joshua Bulman. His FDS - Forward Drop Scabbard was made for the Commander size. It's a Nelson Professional style with a reinforced mouth and slight forward cant, I think it's around 10 degrees. It has a belt slot behind the holster and a trailing slot to help tuck in the pistol butt. His standard FDS has a "sweat shield". I asked Joshua to omit the shield as I have never had the need for it. This holster was boned to the pistol and fits snugly. The first time inserting the gun was super tight but after a few strokes the gun came out positively but is held in securely when holstered.

This is an unsolicited review and I paid full price for the holster. :) I highly recommend Bulman's products.

Yep! There's no doubt about it - Josh does some dynamite holster work!

I ordered the whole rig from Mr. Bulman

FDS, QDMP, and a QLC for my 6P.

The wife said she would spring for it, as my anniversary present. 8)

But I am not sure if it will make it here by then....3 weeks from now. :(

Oh well, maybe I can get something else that day, and my new carry rig later.

I just recently saw Josh's work for the first time and it was terrific. The time and detail spent on the leather speaks alot about the quality of his holsters and leather gear.

I have a Bulman SBS-2 best range holster I have ever used, can't say enough good things about it. If the hurricanes ever quit and Gary ever gets back in his FL shop I might get the holster I ordered from him  Hope all is well down there Gary.

Take care
Mark

Hey Mark!
Your holster is in a batch that I made this week. It will ship on Monday, so long as we have no further natural disasters before then. Thanks!

I am glad your up and running again. I am thinking avout a new Max-con 6 for a 1911 but it'll be after the silly season unless...my wife asks me what I want for X-mas. I'll be in touch!

Thanks again
