Ladies and Gents,
Shortly after the first post for the finished LTW#2 project, I started to get a few ideas in my head about my next custom build, as I had a Springfield GI in my arsenal just screaming to be reworked. While Ned and John did a simply amazing job on that collaboration, and they gave me about 75% of the ideas for my Springer, there were a few small things I wanted to change. First, I had never owned a parkerized gun. Parkerizing has always interested me, and I really like the subdued look it gives. Also, I had never owned a gun with serrations, so I figured I’d give that a try. The gun and all the parts I had for it went off to Dave Sams and he took care of the rest.

One thing I needed (absolutely had to, without a doubt) have after seeing LTW#2 was a custom leather carry rig. The leather for LTW#2, like the leather for LTW#1, was simply amazing to me. The detail work and finish made all my mass-produced leather look like garbage. Joshua Bulman’s contribution to the project was the first I had ever heard of him, and it was all the advertising I needed.
I have struggled for the last few years to find something comfortable at local shops and through production leather companies, but have had little or no luck. I am a power lifter by hobby, and I could find something that fit while I was cutting weight, but when I was trying to add bulk I just couldn’t spare the extra room in my waistband for an IWB rig. Buying a separate set of pants was out of the question, so I called Mr. Bulman and discussed my options for a rig that would allow me to use it throughout my weight fluctuations without any discomfort or major adaptations. He suggested the FBS-H, or Full Belt Slide High Ride, since an IWB would defeat the purpose of getting one that fit year-round. So, I ordered the FBS-H, one of his outstanding Urban Gun Belts in 1.5†configuration, a single mag pouch, and a double mag pouch. To accommodate my waist flux, he cut the belt a little extra long and added 2 extra holes, one on each end, to allow me to adjust, and threw in an extra belt keeper to slide on for taking up slack when I got on the low end. I spoke to him twice on the phone and twice using PMs, and it was like he could read my mind. What I got in the mail this past Monday was EXACTLY what I wanted.
I want to say THANK YOU, JOSH BULMAN! You have made a lifelong customer out of me.
GOD Bless,
~Jim Keeney
