Last year, I promised myself 4 things.

1) I would get a pistol built up
2) I would tackle a 1911 build myself
3) I would finally get myself a decent belt holster
4) I would take some vacation time and attend a decent pistol course

Well in June I came up fubar with 3 bulged discs and busted facet in my back so things got pushed out.

I did, however, tackle some of my goals. I got a 1* varient, I built the 1911 I posted here earlier this month, and I finally got a decent holster and rig for the above 1911's.

The quality and fit is excellent. The holster rides high and tight. Still fast, but it easily disappears on my hip. I really like the looks as well.

Rob Longenecker was great to deal with and Tucker does nice leather work.

Hopefully, with more therapy and some work, I can get my back up to speed and I can make #4 a priorty for the first part of 2006! In the meantime, 3 out of 4 ain't bad. :)

After setting the bar pretty high, looks like you did very well. Looks like a great looking 1* retro. Leather ain't too shabby either. Hope your back recovery is quick so you may go on with your remaining quests!
