Many of you have been e-mailing me and posting requests here for photos of my work, so here goes. Please excuse my lack of photography skills (no Steve Bailey here). A web-site is in the works and will hopefully be up some time in May.

This rig is for a customer's Bren Ten, with grey elephant accents.

This is my In-Discernable IWB in full-coverage alligator with a CAC BHP:

Here is one of my Enforcer Belt Scabbards (again with a CAC BHP):

My 2C, a very minimalist Nelson Professional, with CAC G23:

This is my Stead-Fast holster with sharkskin mouthband. Very high-riding,
it has a tunnel loop on the rear of the holster as a third belt attachment point for added stability:

This is a left-handed crossdarw IWB for a Commander, recently custom made at the customer's request to be worn front appendix carry, in alligator with ostrich accents. Shown front and rear.

Thanks for looking!!

Hey I have a Garrity Holster and mag pouch (dark brown/ elephant trim) and I LOVE IT. As a matter of fact I ordered a Matching belt and handcuff case from him. He is a stand up guy and makes EXCELLENT gear. I think I have found my new goto guy when it comes to custom leather

Matt,
How ya been? I'd say recently about 40-50% of my orders have been for some type of exotic; either full coverage or some accent trim. Working on some full coverage stingray and shell cordovan, and some elephant and gator trim stuff this week.

Kendall,
Thanks for the compliment; glad you're happy with the gear.

Mark,

Very nice gear, especially the elephant. For some reason, elephant has always caught my attention and it just last for ever.

Best,

Ray

Hey Mark:
I've been just fine. I guess your move has worked out very well and you MUST be staying out of trouble building all that exotica  . Nice work!

BTW, I agree with Ray about the elephant. It looks really cool and I think it works nicer than some other exotics.

Yeah, elephant is good looking, durable, and (dare I say) easy to work with compared to some of the other exotic hides. I still love the look of stingray, and I'll post some pics of that rig when it's finished; but it is an absolute labor-intensive pain-in-the-butt to work with.

Shameless plug? Keep pluggin'!
I've mostly only seen pics of your work in a few magazines. A one-inch square, grainy, B&W photo doesn't show much, or do justice, by any means.

Very very nice.
I think the first holster of yours that I saw was the Stead-Fast, and I liked it right off. It reminded me of a "curvaceous" Sparks Roadrunner, which is one of my two favorite belt holsters (Alessi CQC/S being the other).

About the durability of Elephant-
In the mid-eighties, I had a friend who wore a pair of elephant cowboy boots to work one night. Since they were hard to miss, we were all looking at them, and someone asked about their durability.
He was standing by one of those gray, institutional, steel desks at the time, and started kicking the he!! out of one of the bottom corners!!!
It didn't make a mark.

I have never quite grasped the concept of exotics on a holster meant to be concealed, but I've wanted an elephant rig ever since that night!

This rig went out to a customer this morning. My 2C Special I with belt and mag-pouch, all in burgandy shell cordovan. The holster has a molded kydex reinforced mouthband under the cordovan.

Mark does great work. I wish that the small B&W that end up in the magazines showed up the way I took them, but that's the magazine's call and not mine.

He did a great python skin holster for my 50th Birthday Python. It looks alive, as the War Dept can attest; she opened the package when it arrived!

Lots of terrific leathersmiths here and Mark is one of the up and coming!

Mark, I appreciate that very much, but anyone with one good eye can see the quality, and workmanship in those rigs

Hey Rich,, Mrs. Grassi has had one hell of a cross to bear with you all these years, so don't be too hard on her!

Happy belated Birthday old man!

Lou

I can't complain. She can, but I can't! Garrity's holster scared a few years off her life. If he'd put a buzzer inside the box to make the holster move, she'd still be running! That's okay, as she got to supervise me at the NRA Annual Meeting this year.

Thanks for the wishes. Sorry we didn't meet at SHOT.

Rich

More plugs...These arrived last night. I wiped the tears of joy off of them before the photos. I'll soon be broke, divorced, and homeless, but I'll have some great leather to carry my guns in!! Thanks Mark.

Yes guys, Mark made a mistake and made a regular holster. Was supposted to be a thumb break. Guess what, he adertized it on here and I think I was the first to jump on it. Now I get a custom GARRITY hoster with no waiting time. Yes guys, it is on it's way to me right now an my 4" guns are waiting to go for a ride in it. They will take turns..

Thanks Mark, good doing business with you.

Very nice work Mark! My Garrity holster is just plain black leather but it's still so nice that I'm afraid to carry it.

Wow, really beautiful work!

The 45 in the holster listed above, what type of grips were those and who made them?
