Lou, Mark and all that wish to aid.

I have a vg collector quality Colt 1903 (I shoot my pistols, not just clean them to death) that I would like to see if you can recommend a holster and a leather for Concealed Carry. I would like the leather to be soft enough to protect the finish, as best as can be, although no leather will keep it from showing wear I know.
Is there such a thing as a deep IWB (the grip below or at the belt line? Maybe in an ostrich? I love the inside of my boots.
Recommendations...I wish to use this as my carry. Small .cal yes, if needed but I carry my .38 in one of yours when I can keep my shirt untucked. I need something that can be worn with a tucked in shirt (light blousing, I do not need anything like my shirt making me look all the more "non-skinny") and tie.
thanks
CJJ

CJ,
There's a pic in the photo gallery on my web-site of a 1903 appendix carry IWB I made for a local customer based on his design concept.
I can make my In-Discernable ride pretty deep, or you could go with a Tuckable IWB. Unfortunately, I don't currently have access to a 1903 Colt to use. As for finish wear, a smooth leather lining would be your best option. This can be accomplished and add absolutely no additional thickness or bulk to the holster by using two pieces of 3 oz leather back-to-back instead of one piece of 6 oz for an IWB. If you go with ostrich or another exotic, you will automatically get a smooth interior as myself and most of the other makers I know laminate the exotic to the rough side of the leather and put the smooth side in.
