I have to say that I love those articles, also have to admit they were some kinda of startling inspiration at the time. well i mean the ones a got from the early 90´s wich i keep like a small collection.
I still enjoy them and think will do it for life. :D

Jason. Thanks for sharing.

There should be a new review for the 30 anniversary of that article, there is the whole next year to work on it, with talented reviewers and excellent photografer.s and connection around here it should be easy.

Damn, where did you ever find that?
Bob Zwirz was part owner of Gun World in those days, and he flew to Buffalo to do the article. He ate everything in sight for three days too! :)

After that article hit, we were swamped with orders from all over the world within three, or four months. We even had some requests from the KGB through a third person who resided in Belgium, which brought some heat from the State Dept. They took the starch out of my collar for a few weeks!

I thought my holster career was coming to a premature end during those interviews.

Sadly, my partner, (and cousin), Matthew Vasallo passed away at a the age of 48. He had left the business to open a resturant in Myrtle Beach, and had a massive heart attack while renovating a building.

We certainly had some interesting times back then, meeting people from various, and sometimes spooky occupations.

That sure brings back some fond memories!
Thanks Jason..
Lou

Well done, Jason.

Lou looks like such a happy cherub cobbler in those days.....now, of course, more like a happy aging gnome, but one who ain't cobbling fast enough with me holsters still pending....Ha, Flag ranks, indeed.

Cheers and thanks for the photos...I'll remember to flash those when Lou's on his aging bit....

Be nice to Lou. All that Pasta and Meat Balls has slowed him down over the years.
