Not exactly on topic, but maybe in the Holiday spirit it will be O.K. to post the question. I am looking for a custom holstermaker to make me another shoulder harness / knife scabbard. Anybody here do that or know of a holstermaker that does these?
Thanks in advance for any input.......... and for your indulgence!

Best to all,
Jeffro

Jeffro...
Check out S&S Enterprises (website at http://www.edgeguardsheaths.com), they do a good job in kydex and nylon , I have a rig for a Gerber Yari that I carry once in a while. It is comfortable and very effective for me. Great bunch of guys to deal with, too...very supportave of our military guys, and that gets kudos from me anytime. Good luck and Merry Christmas! John

If you're just talking about a shoulder system for knife carry, I can recommend Mike Snody. I think his Dad, Charles Snody, is actually the one that makes the sheaths and carry systems, but they are very high quality. You can see pictures of them here:

Dave Abramson (AKA Lifter) makes high quality knife sheaths too, but I don't know if he makes any shoulder rigs. You might want to ask him; I own several of his sheaths and they are very high quality. He has always gotten my order to me within a week. http://hometown.aol.com/lifter4him1/myh ... iness.html

Hi Jeff.

After doing the research on this subject a few years ago I came to the conclusion that only kydex would be suitable for sheathing a big heavy sharp knife in a shoulder rig.

Robert Humelbaugh makes a terrific (and I mean terrific) kydex/nylon rig that hides well, carries well and RETAINS well but is blindingly fast.

This is where kydex realy works well as holster material, IMO.

I have one for 1911 and Glock and also a 1911/knife rig.
Perfectly executed.
