Hello!

I recently bought a Les Baer Comanche and would like to get some nice leather for it. I've owned a Bianchi Askins Avenger for years and have found it to be a very practical and concealable holster.

The thing that seems to separate the Askins holster from others of this design is the degree of cant. Most of the rigs I've seen have the rear belt loop centered on or just slightly below the trigger guard. The "Avenger" holster has the belt loop underneath the trigger guard, giving the holster another couple degrees of cant.

The additional cant works well with my thin build. It puts the butt of the pistol high into my back and still allows for a quick draw.

Who makes this Bruce Nelson design with the additional cant?

Thanks!

Milt Sparks 55BN can be ordered with a forward cant. Similar rigs are available from Lou Alessi (ACP), Josh Bulman (FDS) and I'm sure Matt Del Fatti can accomodate you also.

Here are a couple photos regarding the belt loop.

Note that the slot on the Milt Sparks 55BN starts at about the bottom of the trigger guard. The top picture is of the now defunct Bianchi rendition. The slot on the Askins Avenger is 1/4"-1/2" lower than other makers, causing the additional cant. I think most makers list their cant at 15-degrees and the Askins holster is at 18-degrees.

The picture of the Sparks 55BN appeared to be the straight drop variety?
Another Sparks comes to mind, the 60TK, it's much higher than any other rigs.

At this point, I'm leaning towards the Sparks 60TK or the Horseshoe Leather Products 22HS. Both look to have belt loops below the trigger guard so the gun sits high.
