I was browsing the Sparks web page and noticed a new holster that they are making; it is called the Axiom. I think this design will do well because it is based 0ff of the wide footprint of the VMII. Now, the VMII is the best holster for me (and I have tried many).

The new Axiom appears to hold the handgun close to the body like a VMII and looks promising to be as successful as the VMII for users that prefer an OWB holster.

Here is the link for more details

I'm not affliated or compensated by Milt Sparks, Inc, but as a satisfied customer for many years, I thought I'd let the LTW crew know my impressions are.

I just placed an order for two Milt sparks holsters for my Warrior, the 55BN and the Summer Special 2. I looked at the Axiom, which is available for the Warrior, but I ended up going with the others.

Can you give us your impressions of the axiom for concealed carry and weapons presentation? I was thinking of ordering an Axiom since over the years I have been happy with Sparks leather, but was unsure as it seems like a lot of extra leather compared to my favored Sparks/Nelson 55BN.

More specifically, it seems that, with the protruding loops and snaps, it would be harder to conceal than a standard pancake style holster or a loop and slot style holster like the above mentioned classic Nelson/Sparks Professional.

Thanks.

John

I have one for my commanders and have been using it since March. The worksmanship is typical Milt Sparks and Tony realy did a great job with the design. It rides high and tight at the 3:00 to 4:00 position on me and easily conceals my commanders under a T-shirt. Initially the rig was extremely tight and to be fair I'm still breaking it in but this is typical of most of their products. As I pointed out it's pretty tight but presentation is not a problem. Next to Lou's CQC/S it's my favorite OWB rig. You won't be disappointed if you get one and if you are it will sell quickly. I ordere3d mine with shark trim and it's beautiful. It's the one on the upper right and the VMII is for my 1006.Image

I've never tried a 55BN but the Axiom is my only holster these days. These came from the first run of Axioms. I was in the shop getting ready to order another IQM for my GM (I had one for my Commander) and they told me of a new design they had in the works. I always liked the IQM but as soon as I checked out the Axiom I knew I was switching over. The snaps and loops, though they do protrude, don't protrude as much as the gun and seem to make a better contour, a step if you know what I mean, so the bulge of the gun is less significant. The Axiom also rides high and (I believe, due to the extra leather) holds the gun very tight to the body and turns the grip inwards so the pistol practically disappears. Presentation wise, it works well for me. Any time I get a new holster I have a little bit of a learning curve but this one felt very natural to me from the start. Like I said, I've never tried a 55BN but I like this holster better than anything else I have tried.
