I have been trying for months to get a holster for my Nighthawk Tactical BAPD SOT pistol but after ordering two supposed custom holsters neither has come close to fitting. Both manufacturers just asked questions on the phone and then told me they had what they needed. The last one I received was just a standard 1911 holster and had no accommodation for a rail, the tall front sights or the square trigger guard. Do I need to ship the gun to a holster maker to get the right holster made? Is that the most efficient way?

Thanks,

Jeff

Well in all honesty...you have a combination of non std. equipment on your gun...and Ill be very surprised if any maker has everything to make the correct holster out of the gate. Shipping the gun to most makers, would eliviate all of the head aches associated with molding and fitting the holster.

Just find one that you trust and has a design that you want...the benefit of shipping most of us a gun is the turn around time will be severly shortened....I hate having peoples carry guns and get them out within a week.

Shoot well and god bless

Thanks for the advice guys. This one has been pretty difficult and as I don't need a rail I might just try to trade this one for something different.
