This might just be a stupid question, but has anyone ever heard of a shoulder holster for a light mounted 1911?
Thanks!

Jeesh, nobody???

There's got to be a good way to keep your pistol with a light on it and some extra mags all in one rig together. I'd like to have a small and convenient system that i can just pick up and be instantaneously armed. I'm trying to avoid using a big duty belt or a fanny pack. Any suggestions?

Look around and see what you like. Some makers offer what you are looking for.

The problem is the light is in line with the trigger guard. Making the holster mouth big enough for the light means you can get your finger in the holster/on the trigger while still the gun is still holstered. This is a scenario most people who carry dont want.

I know of 3 local LEA's that have banned these style of holsters as they have officers either have ND/AD's or actually shoot themselves while holstering or drawing there weapons.

Shoot well and god bless

You can certainly get someone to make one for you without the light, like Eric. There have been some problems with the light holsters and bad guys getting their fingers in the wrong places. By the way, Eric, Rush tickets are on sale here.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the help. I've been looking for that information for a looong time now. It's tough finding info on this b/c not too many folks use 1911's with a light.
The stuff from C rusty is the first leather light mounted 1911 holster i've seen. All the other stuff is made from that kydex and plastic material. Howver this concludes, i think it's gonna cost me....
