A member of this site and customer of mine needs one. IWB. He prefers the widely spaced loops of the Sparks VM2.
Any suggestions?

Chuck,

If your customer has any leather IWBs for a 1911 without a Dawson rail, he might be able to get them to fit well. I've got a Kimber w/Dawson rail (which you worked on when Lenny owned it) and I use it with a Milt Sparks Summer Special 2 which stretched out to fit. I put the Kimber in a plastic bag, inserted it into the holster, and then wet the outside of the holster around where the rail was. After about a week in the holster, the leather stretched enough to where it works very well while still working well with guns without the rail. One caveat would be the Summer Special is not tightly hand boned to the gun and has a somewhat loose fit to start with. I don't think this would work with an Alessi PCH or the like.

Chuck-

Check out 5shot leather, I have an IWB on order with John for my railed 1911. His Uncle Lou model fits the bill.

Chuck:
Tell your customer that Lightning Arms Sports have a couple of VM2 for 5" 1911 with rail. But your customer better act fast.

When I was looking for my holster, I contacted Sparks via the phone and they told me they couldn't make it for a 1911 with the Dawson rail. Maybe it was just for the 55BN I was ordering.

I eventually went with Kramer Leather and had it in less than a month. I also know that they do IWB holsters for it as well.

I bought this holster not thinking the railed gun was going to fit, but it does, and very well :)
