A while back I got an urge to possibly alternate my carry gun to a 10MM and put John on the hook for a slightly different holster. Picked it up yesterday and thought I'd share my latest from 5Shot Leather:

I'm not the photographer that many on the board are, but John's work speaks for itself.

 Now I just NEED to have John tell me how to get the gun OUT of the holster!!!

Very nice holster!

I don't believe that I have previously seen that loop placement before. How does it feel carrying compared to the Nelson SS design and the Sparks spread loop design?

John

That was the 'slight difference' I had done and I haven't had a chance to wear it for any period of time yet. It does stabilize the rig just a little better than a SSII and isn't quite as bulky as the spread loop.

I just finished the instructions on how to properly break in the holster for easier removal of the firearm.

Just send a check in the amount of $100.00 and I will get the one page flyer out to you :P

I liked the S&W1006 leather so much I called John on a possible future build for my 1911s.
I had an email waiting when I got home yesterday (he said he made the first 1006 holster WAY TOO tight for the 1006) and he had this for me:

I really believe he knows me waaaayyy too well now and knew I'd be hounding him for one  call it precognizance :?:
Anyway, here are the pair--note the slight difference in the triggerguard area for retention:

This one isn't quite as tight as the 1006
And again, my pics don't do John's work justice :D

Stan,
My perception is that they are slightly less "bulky" than a standard double loop IWB and a little more stable--The problem is getting him to do ANY work

Speaking of which  , my XS LW Commander's number has gotta come up one of these days with you--back to work so it comes up pretty soon .

Jeff
