Is Matt's Z2 carrier meant to be utilized a specific way to draw the light?

Do you grab the light unsnap with thumb or finger?
Do you grab the light and pull hard and it comes unsnapped?
Do you grab light by bezel or endcap side?
etc.?

Just curious if there is some common intended technique there?

I like how this carrier makes the larger bezel on the Z series not as printable and bulky as other systems.

Trying to decide which light to carry and unsure what is gonna work for me. I know I want the light carrier separate from mag carrier.

I designed the carrier to allow for carry of the Z lights bezel up or down. Although I would build it specifically for a right or left hander to keep the snapped flap forward, it can be worn on either side anyway. The snap is one way so you cannot pull the light through it. The most efficient way to draw is to wrap your fingers around the part of the flashlight you have above the strap (depending on bezel up or down) and then unsnap the retaing strap with your thumb.

I've used one of Del Fatti's Z2 carriers for a couple years. For me, its a great piece of kit due to the fact that it is so slimline.

I carry an old 6P using the Z2 carrier on my off-hand side, behind the hip (at the 7-8 o' clock position). I carry it with the bezel up (using a lock-out tail switch to prevent light NDs) with the snap towards the center of my back.

I draw it by grasping the portion of the light below the carrier with my forefinger and thumb and use my middle finger to unsnap the carrier. I find this technique to be better than using my thumb to unsnap due to less likelihood of dropping the light.

Using this method I can also re-holster the light with one hand.

The only problem i've had is on occassion, while entering my Jeep Wrangler, the snap will catch on the seat and drop the light. If i'm mindful of it, I don't have any problems. Also, it has never done it with any other vehicle.
