Hey everybody....here are a few (bad) phots of my new shoulder rig from Andy Arratoonian at Horseshoe Leather in Great Britain. Andy was a delight to deal with and was very informative.....best of all, his turnaround from order to my sweaty little hands was just over 4 weeks total! I have wanted one of Andy's rigs for many years, since reading about him in one of our gunrags in the early 1990's. I have a good friend who was in SAS and he swears by Andy who made P35 holsters for several of his friends and also said that Andy does a lot of the leather for their MI-5 folks. After this experience, I can understand why.
The holster is his Saddle Tan rig for a 1911 Government Model and is one of the most comfortable rigs I have ever worn. I am not a huge fan of shoulder holsters, but this may very well help make a fan out of me, and with cooler weather coming up soon here in the mountains of Virginia, I should get to use this rig a bit more.

Very nice. I really like Horseshoe leather.
The only thing I have of his now is a mag pouch, but it's my favorite and I wear it every day. It has a forward cant that is just right.

Barry, thanks alot for the comments. I saw the canted mag pouches on Andy's website and really liked them too, will probably order a set or two in my next order to try out. And just think....while everybody is standing in line at our resident leather artisans, I can order, wait and receive around 7-10 holsters from Andy!! :P  (Gosh it's great to have a secret!). Hope everybody has a great and safe weekend!-John

It may have changed, but the only thing I don't like about that pouch is that the back part of the belt loop is solid, and that makes it cover a lot of area. I like to center my mag pouch over a belt loop, and that made it impossible, so I just cut a slot for the loop. No big thing.
