Hi guys,

After my last post I was actually able to find a Tnady Leather in town!.
I made a visit and picked up a catalog and now have a question. What is the difference between a Specer set and an oversticher?

Also do I need a seperate tool to put a groove in the skin where the stiches will lye?

A spacing wheel marks out so many stitches per inch, an over stitch wheel is for going over the stitching after you are finished - never used one, so I don't know if there is much of a difference.

I never used a grooving tool - it does bury the thread deeper, but if you pull the thread tight you will accomplish most of what the groover is doing.

Thanks John - I made a templet this weekend out of cardboard like you suggested. Its just a simple belt slide. Now all I need his the leather and the tools and I can really make a mess of things. :P
