This is something you dont see often, a Thad Rybka "Speed Scabbard". Ive always really admired his work, I remember writing to Thad about 15 years ago, nothing ever materialized. Well today I had the good fortune of aquiring a Speed Scabbard, my favorite design, made by TR. I always have liked his "rough out" smoothside in approach to holsters, I have many of my knife sheaths made in this way. Although it doesnt have the finess of my Alessi Speed Scabbard, the fit and execution are equal (and that is saying a BUNCH).

The beaty of these holsters is in the rugged approach to design/execution and the glove like fit... they also really age well.

Any how, wont bore you with any more of my verbage, here are a few crappy pics, im not a photographer.

Nice catch !

I got one just like that, in black, a year or two ago directly from the maker. I had seen a posting about him on another forum, and remembered years ago I had one of his catalogs. On a whim, I wrote him (he doesn't have a website or email), and he had one, with matching mag pouch, at the shop. Needless to say, I bought it.

wow, your the one that scored... I actually found this in a local shop, box in the back room kinda thing.

I am going to order a complete rig from Mr. Rybka soon, both for the 1911 and BHP. I really like his work, have for years, finally in a position to be able to actually buy some.
